Dr Mirjana Gurinović  MD , PhD Nutrition, Principal Research Fellow is a FAO Expert nutrition consultant and  recognized expert in the field of Sustainable Food Systems for healthy diets, public health nutrition, actively engaged in research on nutrition, food composition databases, public health nutrition epidemiology, harmonization of the dietary intake assessment, nutrient recommendations, food and nutrition policy, nutritional tools development and research infrastructure for food and nutrition research, diet and health and capacity development in food and nutrition specific for CEE countries. Dr Gurinovic works at the Centre of Research Excellence in Nutrition and Metabolism Institute for Medical Research, National Institute of Republic of Serbia, University of Belgrade, Serbia (since 2006).

She had leading and active role in several national, bilateral and international food and nutrition research projects (EC FP6 and FP7 NoE projects, including EURRECA, EuroFIR, CHANCE, EuroFIR-Nexus, ODIN, four EFSA projects, Horizon-FNS Cloud project and member of project advisory board in EuroDISH project). She is leader of the EFSA project-Support to National Dietary Surveys in Compliance with the EU Menu methodology (sixth support) – “The adults’ survey”, including subjects from 10 to 74 years old. 2017-2021 in Serbia and advisor for the same study in Bosnia and Herzegovina and member of the EFSA Scientific Network on Food Consumption Data, representative for Serbia. Dr. Gurinović is a member of a number of professional associations including: ‘’EU Think Tank’’ FOOD 2030 Europe Expert Group on ‘Evaluation of New Methods for Dietary Intake Assessment’, EFSA Scientific Network on Food Consumption Data, , World Public Health Nutrition Association (WPHNA), Nutrition Expert Group in European Heart Network where she contributed to the European food and nutrition recommendations for cardiovascular diseases prevention. She has many published peer-review papers in international journals, Hirsh Index 25, hetero citation more than 1200.
